This was the first ICSB held in the United States that brought together scientists and students with an interest in subterranean biology from the U.S. and from around the globe. An amazing organisation chaired by David C. Culver with Daniel Fong, Matthew L. Niemiller, Megan L. Porter, Michael E. Slay, and Steven J. Taylor, made possible this interesting event!
Sofia presented three talks at this conference:
Unsafe sex – interesting interactions between cave inhabitants.
Portugal - the emergence of a new hotspot of subterranean biodiversity in Europe.
“Troglobiário” – a cave lab building bridges between citizens and science.
